Like the real Grand Canyon, you can fall into the depths
and layers of this painting. It's intentionally large in size to
aid the viewer in the illusion that you are standing on the
brink of the vast valley.
I lived in Arizona for a third of my life, where I regularly
experienced electric sunsets reflected on majestic desert
terrain. I created this painting with the intention of capturing
that beloved experience and evoking all the deep emotions
that it brings out in me. I took such delight in creating this
beauty, just as I delight in countless wonderful memories of
living there.
