"Faux Stained Glass Painting"  68 x 53
Oil painted directly onto dual pane window glass

The paint is water proof and durable, yet
removable with a razor! And it does a
marvelous job of blocking out bad views, yet
preserving the light!
To the right is a photo of the painting
in it's early stages with the window open to the
former blighted view
of a shed and the plain stucco side of the
neighboring home.

Painting onto the window directly replaces a
mundane view
with an exquisite design
while preserving the light
(unlike blinds which hide the view,
but darken the home).

In comparison to real stained glass, my
faux
stained glass
is less expensive, removable and
enables one to keep all the benefits of dual pane
windows!
Completed painting before drapery was added
The painting completed with final
touch of drapery. The curtain acts as
a frame to the painting.
This painting (at left)
was designed and created
with a desire to honor God and inspire His people.

It is hung during a young adult worship service
on Sunday mornings to enhance
the worship experience
which takes place in a normally bare
and dimly lit environment-a gym.

"Lighthouse Stained Glass Window"
 (Lighted Box)
Acrylic on Plexiglas
framed in an oak box built and
finished by my husband, Jim
Closeups of sections of "Lighthouse"
"Hibler" faux Stained Glass
Acrylic on sanded plexiglass

This is one side of a double paneled painting on plexiglass that
was installed inside a window sill to obscure a less than ideal
view from a home office window.
The customer choses the stained glass design and color palette.
